English Language Challenge

Hi, I'm pretty sad today (Thursday sad, Thursday sad) because it's the last blog. Naaa, lie, we are very happy because there is not much left to finish the semester.  Regarding this year's English course, and the program in general, I have very good reviews and opinions. Although I had a sub-optimal semester online, I feel I learned a lot this semester and the classes were fun. I learned about Jamaican culture, North American culture and English culture in general, even to review literature written in English. I just love blogs, because they are not strict and it gives me the freedom to write and think in English about whatever I want. I really like that. The teacher, is very cool, gives us enough flexibility and does not burden us academically to stress. With regard to my English, I think I need to improve the way I think about words (improvise), I take a long time to speak and think. I also have to improve my pronunciation and concentrate more. I thi...

Music

Hello everyone, today I'm gonna talk to you about my musical tastes. The truth is that I'm very indecisive about music, because there are so many songs, genres and artists that I like, so I can't pick a favorite. But I can tell you a little bit about them: I really liked rock, nu metal, post-harcore and screemo, it must be because when I was a kid I thought I was emo, but the instrumental and vocal quality in this music genre is impressive. Some bands of this style are: Linkin Park, BMTH, Paramore, Bullet for my Valentine, Mago de Oz, While She Sleep, Vannatica, etc. Well, I also really like rap-hip hop, because of the lyrical power and the samples. Rap is also very much linked to social protest. Some of them are: Matiah Chinaski, Rapalapar, Late Jazz, etc. I also like very much the Trap Insu XDD, because of its lyrics, characteristic style to carry the social struggle and because every time I listen to it I get angry and want to kill pacos, some of these ...

Postgraduate Studies

Hi everyone, today I'm going to tell them about my plans for Postgrade Studies in the future. The main reason to take a specialization course is because the more studies you have, the more chances you have to find a better job. Besides, having more knowledge about what you like is always good. In this case, having specialized studies opens many doors in the work and academic environment. I would like to study something related to social anthropology. Inside my options could be linguistics, gender or social sciences in general. Although if possible, I would also like to focus my knowledge on other areas, such as social movements, anarchy in social and student movements, etc, Because this is what I mainly like. It really doesn't matter much to study abroad or in Chile, if in Chile there are options and courses that I like I would study here, but if not I would prefer it to study outside of Chile.I haven't done much research, but Chile doesn't have ...

My future job

Hi everyone!! Today I going to tell you about my expectative for the future job. I would like to have a kind of relaxed work that allows me to do the things I like to do like: watch anime, ride my bike, go out with my girlfriend and friends, be with my family and many other things. Even though this country is miserable in all its aspects, I know that thinking about a job like this is very difficult. I'll settle for not getting sick from overwork and stress. Because I study social anthropology, I would like to work on something similar with indigenous and cultural communities. Therefore, I prefer an outdoor job, which allows me to move around a little. I would like to travel, but travel is so expensive in Chile, so I prefer not to move within the city. With regard to the salary XDDD. As long as it's not miserable and allows me to live, I suppose it's the most one can aspire to. If I had to live somewhere else in Chile, I would like to have the possib...

Favorite Series

Hey, everybody, this time we're gonna talk about my favorite series. This series is an anime called Code Geass. It has 2 very good seasons of 25 chapters each, the chapters last 24 minutes, a year ago an anime film was released. It's my favorite series because I watched it when I was very young and it was one of my first animes. The story is extremely complex because you don't really know who the good guy is. It is about a renegade prince, Lelouch, from the Empire of Britannia, who, driven by a grudge, receives a strange power called Geass and with this power he sets in motion his plan to overthrow the Emperor, his father. It's a mecha genre, action and drama. Code Geass makes you wonder about things like morals, family, principles, death and many other situations that transform anime into a volcano of emotions and you can't help but cry at least once. Lelouch is one of my favorite characters because he suffers and questions his own methods. He's a very h...

Quarantine Activities

Hi everyone! Today I will speak about my's quarantine activities (as few as they are). Well, actually I don't know how many days or month I been in quarentine, but didn't leave the house evem before March. In the quarentine I've been with my girlfriend and we've done our routine together. Our routine starts with getting up early, at 8 or 9 in the morning, first we start with our class for zoom. While we are in class, we take breakfast and took note. Then during the break, we prepare lunch and eat. Then, I start reading or playing, or if I have homeworks, I study all day. Lately, I have a lot of homework to do, and the academic load and stress I drive(? it by playing lol or spending time with my girlfriend. Well, in my fre time I don't do more than that. I might watch some anime or netflix series if I'm very bored. I keep in touch with my family and friends through social networks I try to make video calls with them. And well, that's it for ...

The best vacation

Hi everyone Today I'm going to tell your about my best vacation ever forevaaa. Was in this year, at the end of February, the last week. We went to Papudo, a place fairly expensive and "cuico" (iugh), but very quiet and beutiful. We were in Papudo about 10 days, in a small apartment. I went with my girlfriend and her family (her mother, brother and her brother's girlfriend). We went a lot to the beach, to visit businesses on the coast, to eat seafood and go through all the town.  We met a emblematic places in the town, town that was battleground in many naval wars of Chile. It was the best vacation ever because I was accompanied by the person who I most love: my girlfriend. Every moment was used to the fullest in peace and quiet. We weren't stressed out and we had enough privacy that with my family I wouldn't have because there are so many of us. Well, that was all for today. See you later!!
